Philadelphia for Obama is Philadelphia's grassroots organization committed to helping elect Senator Barack Obama the next President of the United States. We do by planning events, community and political outreach, fundraising, and petitioning elected officials across the state of Pennsylvania.
Composed of people from all walks of life, we are united by our disappointment with the status quo in Washington, and the belief that Barack represents the kind of change that can get this country moving in the right direction once again.
We encourage everyone who feels as we do about the direction in which this country is heading to join us at our meeting and events, and help us to change this country for the better.
The Philadelphia for Obama steering committee helps to organize local events and works to assist other like-minded groups. The steering commitee ratified a set of bylaws on November 18, 2007. A copy of those bylaws can be found here. The steering committe is composed of the following members:
